Ultra Music Festival Teams up With SiriusXm to Broadcast Live DJ Sets
Most of the world is shutdown due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, many promoters, musicians and event organizers are coming forth to do their part in keeping up the morale across the globe. We've seen artists such as Dr. Fresch and Diplo live streaming DJ sets, and many others are beginning to follow their example. Most recently, the organizers behind this year's canceled edition of Miami's Ultra Music Festival have revealed an exciting surprise! Starting this Friday, March 20, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. ET, the Ultra Music Festival team will join forces with SiriusXm. Be sure to tune into Channel 52 as they will broadcast exclusive live DJ sets from several artists originally billed to perform at this year's festival. Listeners will hear the likes of Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Major Lazer, Lost Frequencies, Oliver Heldens, Nicky Romero, and many more! Not to mention special guests performances by Carl Cox, Zedd, and more! What an Ultra cool idea!
"With the postponement of beloved events, necessary changes in people’s everyday life, and need for social distancing, we know our listeners are seeking a sense of community more than ever." stated Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM. "To encourage that, we are pleased to be working with Ultra Music Festival to provide our listeners with this virtual audio festival featuring the diverse lineup of artists the UMF delivers year after year, as well as exclusive, fresh, new sets from some of the biggest names in dance music."
Starting 3/20, UMF Radio (Ch. 52) will broadcast SiriusXM’s Ultra Virtual Audio Festival featuring exclusive live DJ sets from artists who were originally scheduled to perform at @ultra, including @Afrojack, @arminvanbuuren, and more. Details: https://t.co/2YAeRnfkgn pic.twitter.com/xakYcDLpjc

Dedicated followers on an international basis are rejoicing because of this initiative! In the past, we've seen how festivals such as Lost Lands have had success with live streaming sets to people's homes. Couchland is an undeniable hit; we absolutely can't wait to see the related triumphs Ultra Music Festival will have this coming weekend. On behalf of The Flag Gang, we want to extend our appreciation to everyone doing their part in continuing the sense of community, spreading positivity and simply being there for one another. Never underestimate the importance of reaching out to someone, especially during unprecedented times as we are currently living!
