REZZ, Peggy Gou & More Featured on Lady Gaga's 'Women of Choice' Playlist

There is so much disappointment following the recent festival cancellations due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19. In hopes of bringing some much-needed positivity to the world of dance music, we would like to shed a light on an important topic: women empowerment.

International Women's Day was on Sunday, March 8, 2020, a "global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women." In the scene, it's a known fact that female artists have to fight for equal rights among the male musicians. We asked our Flag fam who some of their favourite female artists are, and the results spoke for themselves!

The fact that so many people took the time to share their appreciation for their cherished female artists blew us away! The sheer love that our Flag fam has for these musically diverse and multitalented women, such as Alison Wonderland, WHIPPED CREAM, Krewella, VAMPA, Lucii and that's just to name a few, is, simply, endearing. 

Lady Gaga also felt the need to take a moment to recognize these talented musicians by curating an exclusive playlist christened Women of Choice, shining "a light on fellow women musicians who are reinventing the intersection of pop and club music."

We were delighted to see that some of the biggest techno and house heavyweights were included on the important playlist. The likes of Peggy Gou, REZZ, The Black Madonna, Chali XCX, Grimes and so many more incredible artists were recognized. REZZ took to twitter to share her enthusiasm, as seen below.

In addition, Lady Gaga also featured her recently released single 'Stupid Love'. Fun fact: this instant chart-climber was produced by Tchami and BloodPop.
