Oliver Heldens Discloses Plans for His Debut Album
Oliver Heldens is one of those artists that has quickly wiggled his way into people's hearts across the globe. His undeniable musical abilities, chart-toppings singles such as 'Turn Me On' and 'Take A Chance', and charismatic personality has skyrocketed the Dutch producer to stardom. Recently, the 'Lift Me Up' DJ spoke to Team Heldens to reveal his plans for his debut album, touched base on his tour schedule, and shared some of his plans for the future. Trust us when we say, you're definitely going to want to check this out!
If you're like us, you've consistently kept it locked to Helden's official social media channels to stay up-to-date on everything the 25-year-old has been up to. In recent clips, we've seen the talented producer touring the globe, unleashing killer sets, playing his favourite sport - soccer, spending time with his family, among much more. Heldens truly seems to be living a life full of love and happiness. It's a pleasure to see him enjoying life to the fullest, and as a direct result, inspiring his fans to do so.
You may have noticed that Helden's tour schedule is not as extensive as it once was - and you would be entirely correct. He shared, "Since 2018, I’ve been doing less shows than usual. Before 2018, I did, like, 150 shows per year and now I do around 110 per year." Consequently, he's been able to spend more time in the studio. His followers have surely noted a difference as he's released a wave of new music, especially in the past 6 months. He continued by dishing,
"So, I made a lot more new music. I am definitely thinking about my album. I already have too many songs that I want to release. An album is usually 12 songs and I have more than 12 I want to release. So, at the end of this year, or early next year, [we can expect the album], but you can also expect more singles to come."
Ever since the interview was released, fans have been flocking to share their excitement following these thrilling revelations. With the promise of a debut album - guaranteed to include at least 12 brand new tracks, as well as additional singles that won't make the cut, his followers are ecstatic for the future. We've seen Heldens slowly stepping away from his future house roots to dabble into techno during his performance at Ultra Music Festival. This begs the question if we'll see this genre reflected in his future productions. His HI-LO alias is also never one to disappoint. We can't wait to hear what he's been cooking up! In the meantime, check out the interview below.
