Illenium & Excision's Highly Anticipated Collab Set to Drop This Month

It's throwback Thursday! Today, we'd like to take you on a trip down memory lane all the way back to September 2019. It was a simpler time where festival season was slowly coming to an end and we had no idea what kind of craziness 2020 would bring... From Friday, September 27, 2020, to Sunday, September 29, 2020, Excision's beloved Lost Lands Music Festival was in full swing. The Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, welcomed some of the biggest bass heavyweights in the industry and headbangers of all ages.

The stacked lineup included special performances by the likes of 12th Planet, Blunts & Blondes, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Borgore, Doctor P, Flosstradamus, Ghastly, Herobust, Kompany, Phase One, Rusko, Space Jesus, WHIPPED CREAM, Zeds Dead, and many more! Arguably, one of the most highly anticipated performances of the weekend was when Excision went back to back with Illenium. Their set was an undeniable hit and was the perfect way to send off the third annual edition of the festival.

This highly sought-after set marked the first-time the duo went back to back in history! The talented artists expertly incorporated some of the biggest dance music anthems of the century, including Seven Lions, Wooli, & Trivecta (ft. Nevve) 'Island'The Chainsmokers' (ft. Daya) 'Don't Let Me Down' (Illenium remix), Excision & Space Laces 'Throwin' Elbows' (Getter Virtual Riot remix), and more. If you've given the set a listen, you know that there is an absolutely killer track that was expertly dropped right at the end called 'Feel Something'. The single is an unreleased Excision and Illenium collaboration featuring I Prevail. Fans have been *im*patiently waiting for it to drop. Recently, their prayers have been answered!

I Prevail's lead singer Brian Burkheiser not so secretly hinted that the official release would be sometime in March. He avoided revealing a specific date, but still said, “All I will say is… stay tuned this month.” With the state of the world, we'll take all the good news we can get! We absolutely can't wait to hear the finished product. In the meantime, we'll be blasting the historic set on repeat; but let's be real, we haven't stopped since it was uploaded online.
