It's officially October; you know that that means - the spooky season is in full effect! Like most, you're starting to map out your Halloween plans, having to make the often difficult decision to choose only one event for your main All Hallows' Eve festivities.
In the Ottawa and surrounding areas, DNA Presents' legendary SCREAM event has been a go-to for most when considering how to celebrate this highly anticipated holiday. If you're like us, you've been patiently waiting for DNA Presents' team to unveil this year's details.
Recently, their hardworking team of organizers has disclosed that they "had to make the incredibly tough decision to postpone SCREAM 2019.", due to, unfortunately, not being "able to secure a headliner to the size and caliber that has been associated to the SCREAM brand". You can check out the full press statement below.
Unsurprisingly, the revelation has caused a stir online, leaving fans scrambling to find a Halloween event that will live up to the undeniable caliber that the SCREAM events are well-known for. To quote DNA Presents, "[t]here are many other great events going on this Halloween within the city so be sure to give your support to them!" That said, which events do you have in mind, Flag Fam? Drop us a comment via our social media channels. We'd love to hear from you!
Final thoughts: judging by the tone of the official press statement, we're positive that this announcement was no easy task for the DNA Presents team. It's important to keep in mind that there are many factors that go into creating and hosting an event, especially one of this magnitude. We would like to extend our praise to their team for their courage to address the realities at hand. We can't wait to see what they have in store for the next edition!
